I think that it’s an accurate assessment to call myself an avid print mixer. Mixing two or three prints is no problem for me and has become a huge part of my personal style. Some of my favorite combinations are leopard with dots, as seen in today’s post, plaid and stripes, and floral with leopard and stripes. Well, today I’m adding mixing textures to my style repertoire by doing some texture combining with this cable knit sweater and quilted vest. And not to mention, throwing in more print mixing with polkadots and leopard flats…I can’t help myself!
At this time of year, texture mixing is really easy and simple to pull off. By combining perennial faves like a puffer with quilting and a classic cable knit, you will add interest and style to your look without feeling too crazy. By taking a more subtle approach to adding interest, you have more freedom to mix in other things, and not feel like your look is too loud. Sometimes subtle is just as stylish, and maybe sometimes even more stylish, than over-the-top print mixing.
Enjoy the rest of this holiday week. Cheers!
