Doesn’t everything sound better when it’s in French? Even the word, black, the a fashion favorite that is thrown around more frequently than the word chic or the phrase “very now,” sounds much better when called noir. So today, my look is made so much more fashionable when I call it noir and navy. Mixing noir and navy is relatively new in my fashion bag-o-tricks, since I’ve only really been wearing it for about a year or so.
What I have learned in the my limited experience with mixing midnight and the darkest blue, is that different textures really help pull off this color combination. A skirt with texture, a quilted leather jacket, and a navy stripe break up the almost matching colors and make the color palette look deliberate instead of mismatched. So next time you’re feeling dark, try noir and navy in a mix of textures. Have a great week, everyone!
