When it comes to dressing myself while pregnant, I consider myself pretty lucky so far. I’ve always preferred my clothes a little loose rather than tight, so as my bump has grown I’ve been able to get away with my regular tops and pants, and have been buying a size bigger when shopping the regular racks.
Well, a few weeks ago I suddenly reached a point where I couldn’t wear my regular pants low enough for the growing bump, and unless a top was really wide and long, it wasn’t doing to trick. Enter actual maternity clothes. I’ve been so fortunate to find some fantastic maternity brands that I can feel like myself in, but still be comfortable and accommodate the growing bump.
Today I’m wearing the new maternity denim collection from NYDJ. With tons of stretch, and a belly band that comes up all the way over my entire bump (I’ve learned that’s quite important), these are so comfortable, and I feel so Parisian chic when I wear them. I normally never wear jeans when I travel, but these feel so good on that I may wear them on the plane when I travel to New York for Fashion Week in a few days.
Be sure to follow my “bumpin” Pinterest board to find everything I’m wearing, loving and wanting while expecting.
