It is said that opposites attract, and in fashion that is more often than not true. Leather and lace, floral and stripes, and today a Chanel pin and camo jacket are the perfect pair even though they are on opposite ends of the style spectrum. Pairing opposites is one of the best style tricks when you are trying to strike the perfect balance between dressy and casual, and it worked like a charm with today’s look.
I’m no stranger to pairing camo and stripes as seen last summer with this look. This Saint James striped shirt is one of my absolute favorite, and is such a great weight for layering. This past week I added two new stripes to my collection while I was at COS. COS is a Zara-like, H&M owned store that stocks great basics and on-trend styles. This blue stripe and red striped shirt are so incredibly soft and are going to be perfect for the spring/summer season.
It’s no secret that I get a ton of wear out of my leopard Clare V “fold over” clutch…even though I always carry it unfolded like Clare V’s leopard flat clutch. I’m so excited that this leopard lovely has gotten such a positive response lately, so I’m excited to share another way to wear it today. Find all the ways I’ve worn my leopard clutch by clicking here. This month I finally replaced my classic white Converse and have been breaking them in as of late. I love pairing these classic kicks with skirts and dresses for a comfy yet polished feel.
