How gorgeous is this floral dress?! It’s from the latest collection from Hunter Bell, who lucky for me recently moved to Houston from New York, and has become one of my favorite brands, and fashion people. I was so excited and honored to help style Hunter’s spring look book, and had a ball styling her Fall 2017 collection a couple of months ago. Working on that shoot was actually my first time leaving Baby Dittner while I went to conquer the fashion world, and it was the perfect first day away.
As for the dress, it’s screaming to be worn on a date night, and it definitely deserves to be taken on a fun summer getaway. I’m also going to wear it with a grey short sleeve t-shirt and flat sandals, and think it would be über chic layered with a chunky sweater come fall. I’m wearing the size 6, which fits really well. I would say this dress runs true to size, and maybe a little big because I could have worn the 4 if it wasn’t for these post-baby ta-ta’s. This floral dress is also available to rent (if you can believe it), on Rent the Runway. Check it out!
Circle bags have been a huge trend in the last year, and only seem to be gaining popularity as the summer approaches. I’ve been swooning over this Clare V. leather circle bag for a while now, so I was so excited to pick out this new straw version this spring. If you saw my Instagram stories the day this bag arrived, you saw that I’m really pleased with how big this mini bag is because it can fit all of my everyday essentials…wallet, business cards, lipstick, sunglasses and phone. It also comes with a cross body strap which I love for hands-free carrying. It’s a great bag for day to night, and it is screaming to be taken to Nantucket for a long weekend!
A jean jacket is a classic piece that goes in and out of fashion favor as the seasons come and go, and I’m excited that it is currently in good fashion standing. The perfect light-weight throw on and a great “third piece” of clothing to add to white jeans and a top, the jean jacket can bring just the right amount of casual flair to lots of unexpected things, like this floral dress.
The vintage jean jacket that I’m wearing today has gotten a lot of wear on some of my most high-profile days like attending New York Fashion Week, and was the perfect topper over my baby bump and a LBD. This very similar style from Madewell is perfect for transitioning into summer, throwing on for travel and even looks great over yoga leggings and a t-shirt.
