what I’m wearing…
Rebecca De Ravenel Les Bonbons earrings (also love this super affordable pair) // Karen Walker sunglasses // NARS lipstick in Lana // J.CREW jumpsuit (love this poplin maxi & this blue striped jumpsuit) // Clare V. fold over clutch // similar nude heels here // photos by the talented Lauren Anderson //
For about a year now, I have been non-stop attracted to the color blue. When I was newly pregnant I thought it might be a sign that I was having a boy (wrong), but regardless my blue phase is still going strong. When this blue and white striped jumpsuit was released earlier this year I pounced on it, and this blue striped bell sleeve top has gotten so much play this spring. I just discovered this blue J.CREW maxi, I think I may need to add it to my blue collection.
Side Note: Being a new mom it has been such a struggle balancing mom and work life. I shot this outfit in February (pause for effect), and I’m just now posting it…ugh! So, my sincerest apologies that this jumpsuit is now sold out, but kudos to you followers who scooped it up via LIKEtoKNOW.it on my Instagram account. If you haven’t dowloaded the LIKEtoKNOW.it app I highly suggest it! I’m obsessed and use it all the time. It’s a great way to get my outfit details immediately.
It’s no secret that I LOVE a statement earring, and ever since Mr Dittner surprised me with these Les Bonbons at Christmas, I have been wearing them about once a week with everything from a striped t-shirt to a crisp white shirt and jeans. First worn with a baby bump at NYFW, then to a dear friend’s wedding and most recently with this gorgeous floral dress, these gold baubles know just how to hold their own and fade into the background.
The designer of this particular pair, Rebecca De Ravenel (she is such a goddess, if you don’t follow her you should), is currently not producing this exact style, but true to fashion business form, Baublebar has made a super affordable pair that is hard to resist. Currently contemplating asking for Rebecca’s three drop style for my birthday…what do you think?!
Versatility is the most important thing I look for when shopping for myself and my clients, and you cannot get more versatile than a nude heel. Worn with a black jumpsuit when I was 6 months pregnant, a blue trench dress last summer and with jeans countless times, a nude heel is perfect when you need a shoe that just disappears and lets the rest of my outfit speak. It also doesn’t hurt that they make your legs look a foot longer, and make you look about 10 pounds skinnier. You can get a nude heel at any price point. The “nudist” from Stuart Weitzman is a classic, and brands like Sam Edelman are always making super accessible options.
