what I’m wearing…
sunglasses: Karen Walker // lipstick: Nars in Lana // kimono: H&M (runs big) // t-shirt: J.Crew perfect fit // distressed jeans: AG, love this similar pair // mini bag: Louis Vuitton mini speedy // nude heels: Zara, love this similar & budget friendly nude heel //
For a while now I’ve wanted to try a kimono, so when I found this coral kimono at H&M for a very appealing price, I knew it was time to try it. When trying something new it’s best to keep the rest of your outfit super simple, so I paired it with my favorite distressed denim, white t-shirt and nude strappy heels. I think the key to pulling off a kimono is not tying it too tight to avoid looking like a robe. FYI this kimono runs big, I’m wearing the XS/S size.
When investing in accessories like bags and shoes, I try to go for timeless pieces that will bring my outfits back down to earth when trying new silhouettes and trends, like a kimono over jeans. This mini LV bag has been such a go-to ever since I got it last summer because it’s a classic bag with a little twist that both updates and makes most looks feel more classic.

Distressed denim is a trend that is not slowing down any time soon, and I cannot get enough. The pair I’m wearing today is going to be worn to shreds since I’ve been wearing them weekly since getting them during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and I currently have my eye on this pair from Madewell. For my last two lookbook styling gigs, this pair of distressed denim seemed to go with pretty much everything.
